Students from Tallapoosa County Schools took part in the 2015 School Day at the Horseshoe Bend National Military Park.

The park hosted the day for area fourth graders to learn about Creek Indian and Frontier life in the early 1800s. The students rotated through stations where they got to see the cannon fire, trained with the Tennessee Militia on handling muskets after enlisting, how the Indians traded with the French before the U.S. came into being, and what life on the frontier would have been like.
