The Dadeville Police Department has welcomed a new officer to its force. 

Tori Thornton gained an interest in policing while in high school as she particularly enjoyed her forensics and criminal psychology classes. Three years ago she started participating in ride-alongs, programs that allow civilians to ride in police cars with officers during their patrol, and decided that she wanted to become a police officer.
