Lake Martin locals celebrated 100 years of the Treasured Alabama Lake last Tuesday at the Tallapoosa County Agribusiness Center in Jackson’s Gap. Party-goers celebrated with a classic summer spread of hamburgers and hotdogs, children’s games, inflatables, face painting, a lemonade stand and more. A massive birthday cake shaped like the number 100 stood at the center of the celebration, and as the evening came to a close, guests gathered to sing “Happy Birthday” before the first slices were served.
