There is one question that begs to be answered when entering retirement: “What am I going to do?”
For Air Force Ret. Col. Brad Copeland, he knew he would have a lot of time on his hands. Copeland told Lake Martin-Dadeville Area Kiwanis Club members he did not want to work for the federal government, so he decided to look at routes that aligned with his passions. Cycling and gardening are a few examples, but he decided to take his love for cooking to the next level. He said in retirement he wanted to have fun and he wanted to learn.

THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 3 above possible.
* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama.
* WHEN...From late Sunday night through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of
subfreezing temperatures could cause pipes to burst.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
