When disaster struck, volunteers in Tallapoosa County were ready for the call. 

Hurricane Isaias landed in south Alabama earlier this month and left residents without power in their homes or not much support to rely on. Since then the Alabama Center for Rural Organizing and Systemic Solutions volunteers have been assisting with efforts to bring relief, particularly in Conecuh and Monroe counties. The Town of Castleberry is within ACROSS’ rural network.
