During Tuesday’s work session, Tallapoosa County Schools superintendent Casey Davis spoke to the board of education about some upcoming items for future regular meetings.

The board learned of changes to the vaping and tobacco policies. The tobacco policy will see changes in wording with parts being removed and added while the vaping policy is new as is to act as its own. Deputy superintendent Penny Johnson said the vaping policy has two parts. There is one for students and one for school facilities. There will be one reading for the policies and both are expected to be passed at the October board meeting.
