Whether shopping or eating in the square, it is hard to ignore the painted windows of Dadeville’s small businesses. They are bright in color and often have funky, eye-catching designs. Two individuals behind the artwork some residents have no doubt admired got into the window art business simply from encouragement.
Submitted / TPI Venda Cowan finishes up her window art for Pampered Pets Boutique in Opelika.
Venda Cowan painted her first set of windows at Tallapoosa Nutrition, a local healthy food and drink spot in the square. Cowan had always done portraits and other traditional art. When she completed a small art piece for a friend, he connected her with six other businesses for paint jobs because he loved the one she did for him.
