Dadeville Fire Department firefighter Dylan McKelvey was named the Tallapoosa County career firefighter of the year after being nominated by his fellow firefighters. McKelvey got into the profession while working at Floyd’s Feed and Seed. A couple of spots were open at the fire department, not even a mile walk from where he was at, and he has loved it ever since he started.
