Where laughter is the music: Local guitar lessons focus on more than just teaching

A local musician has spread her talent through a multitude of country, bluegrass, rock, folk and pop groups. Now with her roots established in Dadeville, she is teaching adult beginner guitar lessons through the Dadeville Performing Arts Center. 

Judy Hughes is a veteran and registered nurse. She was a flight nurse in the Gulf War and was also in the Birmingham Symphony. When she got to Dadeville and heard about Dadeville Performing Arts Center president Kim Walls making efforts to establish the center and bring affordable music lessons to kids and adults, she was happy to get involved.
