A man arrested during a child sex-sting operation in Elmore County last year has pleaded guilty and will serve eight years in prison.

Isaiah Smith, 30, of Alabaster, was one of eight men arrested by the Prattville Police Department last March as law enforcement conducted an operation from a hotel in the Elmore County portion of Prattville posing as children. Smith pleaded last month and was sentenced last week by circuit court Judge Joy Booth. He was originally charged with two counts of electronic solicitation of a child and two counts of traveling to meet a child for activity.
