Elmore County District Court Judge Ben Baxley hasn’t been on the bench long. But that doesn’t mean people and organizations haven’t taken notice of his efforts to support children.

From Day 1, Baxley has taken on the challenge of improving truancy in area schools. As a result of Baxley’s and educator efforts, attendance has improved dramatically, grades and test scores have increased and school report cards have improved.
