Congressman speaks in Wetumpka on current issues in D.C.

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer has been a frequent visitor to Elmore County in the last year. Since redistricting took effect almost a year ago and Elmore County being drawn into Palmer’s district, he has made regular visits learning about the area and passing on the news.

Last week was no different as Palmer was the keynote speaker at the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce summer luncheon. The Republican representative from Hoover shared current news from Washington D.C. He delivered news about continuing tax breaks and healthcare issues such as Medicaid along with President Donald Trump’s success internationally.
