The Town of Eclectic is operating under old building codes and permitting.

It is something that could cause safety issues in the future. The current building permit ordinance the town is operating under was adopted by the Eclectic Town Council in 2011. Current town building inspector Josh Pack says it is antiquated and the town is losing money, especially with reinspections.
