County BOE passes budget but cautious about federal funding

The Elmore County Board of Education has a budget for fiscal year 2026 in the amount of $177,915,437. It is an increase of about $13 million over last year. 

But with no more COVID-19 pandemic funds covering new HVAC systems and the idea of federal programs losing funds, the board is approaching the next year cautiously. Title 1 funding from the federal government is used to support every school in Elmore County except Redland Elementary School and Redland Middle School. It currently funds 21 teaching units.
