Mysti Shamblin bonded out of the Elmore County Jail last week after being charged with DUI and manslaughter.
Shamblin, 39, of Deatsville, was being held on a $310,000 cash bond. Thursday, she was before Elmore County District Glen Goggans for a bond reduction hearing. Her attorney argued Shamblin has children at home, works and had medical appointments to attend. He also pointed out about 10 people in the gallery that were Shamblin’s support system and would ensure she attended court and stayed out of trouble.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.
* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.
* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass and windy conditions
will result in critical fire weather conditions. Outdoor burning
is not recommended. Current wildfires could worsen due to the
winds.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
