There are always some growing pains when a new sheriff comes to town. And for the Edgewood football team, they had theirs in Week 1 against Lowndes.

In Joe Brewton's first game as coach for the Wildcats, they fell 30-6. But it was not all that bad for them, only allowing two touchdowns defensively all night. The biggest thing that Brewton noticed was the lack of rhythm on the offensive end.
