The Elmore County Commission met last week.

The Elmore County Commission is helping with mental health issues.

In addition to a countywide mental health task force, the commission helps agencies apply for grants. Declaring May as Mental Health Awareness Month helps organizations such as the Elmore County Board of Education apply for grants. The commission did so at its Tuesday meeting and also heard from Elmore County Public Schools alternative programs director Dr. Blair Andress.
