Elmore County District Court Judge Ben Baxley has sworn in Carter Scales Taunton as a juvenile probation officer.

Baxley administered Taunton’s oath on Nov. 17 at the Elmore County Courthouse. Taunton will serve under the direction of the Elmore County Juvenile Court where she will work to promote accountability, rehabilitation and the welfare of youth under the court’s jurisdiction.
