Wetumpka’s Charlie Skipper (12) and the Indians aree coming off a tough loss to Chelsea in Week 2. They look to pick up a win over Russell County this coming Friday.

The Wetumpka Indians (1-1) will be traveling east this week to Seale for their region opener against the Russell County Warriors (2-0). The Indians have played Russell County every year for the last three, having won two of the three previous seasons. 

The Indians have started the last three seasons under Bear Woods 1-3 in their first four games of the season, 0-2 in AHSAA Class 6A Region 2. Wetumpka is preparing to turn that around with this region opener at Russell County.
