With the tumultuous events of the AHSAA’s reclassification in the rearview mirror, Holtville officially announced its upcoming football schedule on Thursday, and it features a mixture of historic rivalries, some familiar non-region foes and new opponents in the new Class 4A Region 4. Holtville finished last season with a 2-8 overall record, 1-5 in the previous Class 5A Region 4.

The Bulldogs will kick off the season with an away game at Sylacauga on Aug. 21, retaining the matchup from the previous Region 4. Aug. 28 will be a home game against Shelby County, the same Week 2 matchup from last season which Holtville won, 35-13.
