Nearly 700 Holtville Elementary School students sang Happy Birthday to Gov. Kay Ivey Tuesday. But Ivey’s birthday wasn’t the purpose of her visit.

Instead Ivey helped Holtville Elementary School kick off studies and celebrations for America’s 250th birthday highlighting the importance of being good citizens and good students.
