AU professor delivers lecture on impact crater

About 75 attendees gathered in the Wetumpka Civic Center Thursday evening to hear Dr. David T. King talk about the Wetumpka Impact Crater.

King, an Auburn University geology professor, presented an overview about foreign objects striking the Earth, as well as specifics about the Wetumpka site. King’s research over more than a dozen years confirmed the area as a marine impact crater.
