Ivy Classical Academy started with a promise to a wife to move back home.
Now, construction is underway to create more than 30 classrooms as students are set to arrive in August. The charter school will open to more than 600 students in kindergarten through fifth grade and add a grade per year until it gets to 12th. Then approximately 1,200 students will walk the halls of Ivy in Elmore County.
