Just over a week after the Town of Coosada sought an injunction from the courts to stop a sewer project by Elmore County, the council voted to settle the matter.

The decision came after an hour-long executive session at Tuesday’s council meeting. The town wanted the project stopped because it claimed the county didn’t have the town’s permission for the project in the town limits of Coosada. The county claims it didn’t need the permission because the project would be constructed in road right of ways deeded to the county.
