The Eclectic Fire Department recently assisted two local homeowners in putting out a fire on a Fleahop Road on Aug. 29.

The EFD arrived at the residence at around 9:30 p.m. and found a homeowner had used a garden hose to put out most of a fire that had started in a carport attached to the house.
