Cliff Williams / TPI Holtville High School graduate David Alexander Sexton first graduated from Marine Corps boot camp Friday morning in Paris Island, South Carolina before traveling to Friday evening’s Holtville graduation.

In eight hours David Alexander Sexton first became a Marine, then a Holtville High School graduate.

Sexton followed one of the Marine Corps values in the process — “First to Fight.” It is representative of Marine history having been at the forefront of most American battles since 1775.
