The Slapout community is mourning Friday after a Holtville High School student died in a crash Thursday afternoon on Lightwood Road. The accident also left a 14-year-old, 15-year-old, 16-year-old and a 17-year old injured. 

News of the wreck spread quickly Thursday afternoon and evening. Prayers were held at sporting events involving Holtville teams. Other Elmore County schools posted messages of support on social media.
