(Carmen Rodgers) The Wharf Casual Seafood held a ribbon cutting on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the new Wetumpka location at 4700 Highway 231.

The Wharf Casual Seafood, located at 4700 Highway 231, held a ribbon cutting on Thursday, Oct. 15. According to co-owner Noah Griggs, the decision to locate in Wetumpka was an easy choice to make, and there was a demand for the seafood restaurant.

"Wetumpka feels like home because it is," Griggs said. "I am a native of Tallassee, and Wetumpka is in our backyard. We are here because we had so many people requesting that we bring fresh seafood to Wetumpka."
