Elmore County escaped significant damage as a line of storms passed through Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service reported a bow-line of storms created wind gusts up to 60 mph as it came through but between damage in Autauga and Elmore counties, there were no tornados. The NWS had issued a radar indicated tornado warning about 9:20 a.m. Saturday. The line of storms quickly passed through and left more than 6,000 homes without power, according to Elmore County EMA director Keith Barnett.
