Everyone has their periods of struggle, their times of being down on luck. The key is finding, or building, that step up out of the hole.
Stanhope Elmore’s boys basketball team is in that period, and they’re looking for a way out. In the second week of area play, the Mustangs went out to face rival Wetumpka in an extremely tough road environment. It resulted in a fourth-straight loss for SEHS, 66-28.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.
* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.
* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass and windy conditions
will result in critical fire weather conditions. Outdoor burning
is not recommended. Current wildfires could worsen due to the
winds.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
