It was a day of heartbreak and missed opportunities for the Elmore County Panthers volleyball team. Following their sixteenth-straight area title, the Panthers went into the AHSAA Class 5A regional tournament with the wind in their sails and sense of confidence. 

They faced off against the Elberta Warriors, a team that has struggled to finish all season, entering their first-round matchup against Elmore County with a 12-20 record, compared to the Panther’s 25-15.
