Holtville, Edgewood lead push on all-state teams

The Alabama Sports Writers Association officially released its all-state teams for baseball and softball last week. There were 15 players from around Elmore County who made the cut with Holtville, Tallassee and Edgewood all having multiple players on the lists.

KK Dismukes led the way, representing the Bulldogs softball team as a utility player on the Class 4A first team. Dismukes, who hit a school-record 23 home runs during her senior season, was named the 4A Hitter of the Year and finished third in the Miss Softball voting. Bulldogs third baseman Brooke Cooper was honorable mention.
