Holtville ready to start football activities at summer practices

File / The Herald Holtville’s Drake Baker continues to battle for the starting quarterback position for the Bulldogs

With two weeks of summer workouts in the books, Holtville coach Jason Franklin has been pleased with the progress he has seen from his team so far. After staying in the weight room to start the summer, the Bulldogs are moving to the practice field this week to begin working on improving their game for the 2019 season.

“The first two weeks for us have been strictly lifting and conditioning,” Franklin said. “We’ll start with football activities this week. We’ll do a lot of individual drills and work within our position groups. We want to make sure to get everyone ready to do what they need to do.”
