NATIONAL SIGNING DAY: Turner inks with Iowa Central

National Signing Day was the relieving and happy ending to a dramatic buildup for Quinaz Turner.

As far out as two weeks before Wednesday, the Stanhope Elmore senior defensive back held the interest from Tulane University and Murray State University, but not strong enough to warrant an official offer. Then one by one, coaches at both Division 1 programs informed Turner that transfers and other recruits had filled their needs, leaving the 5-foot-11, 160-pound Millbrook product without an option.
