Panthers take advantage of Eagles’ errors in 31-7 win

David D. Goodwin / TPI Elmore County's Gage Davis (12) runs the football against Carroll on Friday night. The Panthers beat Carroll, 31-7, to move to 2-0 on the year.

Carroll High School of Ozark put together a fairly solid first half against Elmore County Friday night, going to the half down just five points. But when the Eagles’ wheels fell off, they fell all the way off.

In a span of just five minutes midway through the third quarter, they surrendered a pair of safeties. The second one resulted in Elmore County’s third touchdown of the night, as junior Eli Thames broke loose for a 26-yard run en route to a 21-7 victory for the home team.
