Wetumpka's Ashlynn Campbell has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after hitting .412 with five RBIs over the weekend.

Not even a calendar year after leading Wetumpka to its second state title in program history, Ashlynn Campbell is making herself known in the college ranks.

Campbell, who has started every game at second base this season for Purdue, was named the Big 10’s Freshman of the Week for her efforts in five games against Marshall, Butler and Radford.
