Despite having clinched their spot in the playoffs this season, the Wetumpka Indians are one game below .500 after their loss to rival Stanhope Elmore last week in Wetumpka. They face another formidable opponent this week, welcoming Class 5A team Demopolis for their senior night.

The Wetumpka Indians had their four-game winning streak ended at home by their rivals, the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs, last week. The loss put the Indians below .500 for the first time since the first four weeks of the season.

The loss to Stanhope Elmore should sting for a while for the Indians, but Wetumpka coach Bear Woods maintains it should be more fuel and motivation to play hard, execute when it matters and win games when given the opportunity.Â
