Cliff Williams / TPI Scouts from Troop 50 in Wetumpka fold a flag for retired Sgt. Richard Thornell at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Wetumpka. Thornell is a Tallassee native and was part of a group of four from Tallassee High School who enlisted in the Marine Corps on the same day.

Many might not notice he is a veteran were it not for his black hat embroidered with Vietnam Veteran in bright yellow thread.
