The City of Wetumpka has a new budget for fiscal year 2026 and the Wetumpka City Council passed it before the start of the new fiscal year on Oct. 1.

The budget takes care of maintaining the city primarily through public safety and public works. The city will continue to rotate police vehicles as they get higher mileage and some city streets will see resurfacing.
