The Wetumpka Indians picked up their third win of the season, beating the Elmore County Panthers 52-24. Despite the dominant win, Wetumpka coach Harriet Winchester thought her team could have played with more discipline in the first half.

“I loved the defensive effort (after) halftime,” she said. “Before halftime, we were a little relaxed, and that’s something we harped on after the Prattville game, that our defense doesn’t look how it’s supposed to be, but I like the fact that they’ve been listening to us saying that we need to get the ball inside.”
