Thursday Alabama Power customers received information about its flat bill plan, which would allow customers to pay the same price for their power bill every month, regardless of their usage.

“Basically, this is a rate for residential customers that allows them to enter into a contract with us for a 12-month period,” said Buddy Eiland, a spokesperson for Alabama Power.
