The Crimson Tide will play its first BCS bowl game in almost a decade Friday, and thousands of fans who use Charter Cable as their cable provider can rest assured they will be able to watch the game, despite recent negotiations between the cable company and a Montgomery Fox affiliate.

WCOV Fox 20, the affiliate airing BCS bowl games, was engaged in negotiations with Charter late into the day Wednesday. Shortly before 5 p.m., they agreed to extend the contract for one week while final negotiations continue, meaning programming will not be disrupted.
