The Alexander City firefighters will soon be using the latest in cutting-edge equipment thanks to a grant they received from the federal government.

According to Rep. Mike Roger’s office, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security awarded the Alexander City Fire Department with a grant to purchase a Thermal Imager worth approximately $12,500.
