The members and guests of the Tallapoosee Historical Society were treated to a special program at the Spring Quarterly Meeting last Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church in Dadeville. About forty people attended, some from Dadeville, some from Camp Hill, and some from Alexander City. All who attended were entranced with Dr. John Von Valkenburg’s portrayal of General Robert E. Lee and hearing his exciting stories.

Robert Edward Lee was born at Strafford, Virginia on Jan.19, 1807 to Henry Lee and Ann Carter Lee.
