Local golf enthusiast finds Fountain of Youth on the course

In 1913, J.H. Taylor was winning his fifth British Open by eight strokes, and Francis Ouimet was becoming the first amateur to win the U.S. Open in a three-way playoff with British professionals Harry Vardon and Ted Ray.

Robert Williams was also born that year in Akron, Ohio, when Woodrow Wilson became President and Henry Ford developed the first moving assembly line.
