Playing in the Pines

The Pines of Millbrook could just as easily be called The Hills, as steep climbs and quick descents characterize the 18-hole, par 72 municipal golf course on Deatsville Highway. The course plays 6,318 yards from the blue tees – 4,883 yards for ladies and seniors – and is open at 7 a.m. seven days a week. Call ahead for tee times, as the course sponsors play activities throughout the week and schedules regular tournaments. The course also is home to the Stanhope Elmore High School golf team.

An advantage to the hills, The Pines is an all-weather course, said general manager Harold Hogan.
