Police, sheriff’s department awarded JAG grant

The Alexander City Police and Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Departments have pooled their efforts to acquire a $17,908 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice.

The justice department allocates the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) each year to qualified law enforcement agencies. Both the ACPD and the sheriff’s department met the qualifications to apply for the non-matching grant this year.
