Tuscaloosa contractor submits lowest bid for Hillabee Bridge replacement

The Alabama Department of Transportation is a step closer to replacing the bridge over Hillabee Creek on Alabama 22.

District 4 Engineer DeJarvis Leonard said bids were opened on the project Friday. The lowest bidder on the project was Raycon Inc. of Tuscaloosa. Although he wasn’t sure what the company’s bid was, Leonard said it was in the $7 million range.
