Americans have turned football Sunday into a reliable food occasion, and the grocery store is where much of the preparation begins. For 18 weeks straight, the weekly shop reorganizes itself around the game, loading up on categories that have gotten considerably more adventurous than wings and chips alone. How that cart looks depends less on which team is playing and more on which part of the country is doing the shopping.
