(The Center Square) - U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson won reelection Tuesday but acknowledged Republicans had fallen short of retaining their House majority, telling supporters in Shreveport that his party faced a difficult challenge going into midterms. 

Johnson, who has represented Louisiana's 4th Congressional District since 2017, acknowledged the difficulties Republicans faced in holding their majority during his election night party in Shreveport.
